This session gives participants space to practice media literacy deeper by exploring song lyrics. The session begins with the five core concepts of media literacy and the corresponding five key questions of media literacy. Media Literacy: ACT for Youth Center of Excellence’s Media Literacy was created in collaboration with Cornell University, University of Rochester, and New York State Center for School Safety. This resource explores the definition, importance, and benefits of media literacy. It includes the five core concepts with more exploratory talking points that could guide your facilitation.
